Not a water gun. A real gun. One way to cure hiccups, apparently, is to scare the person who has them. This will cause a shock and stop the hiccups.

But you can cure hiccups by holding your breath. You have to hold your breath for ages until you nearly pass out. It works, I haven't had hiccups in years.

i mean, he says "he pulls out a gun, and points it at the man", if he had fired it (or squirted water at the man,) it would seem that fact would have to be included as lesser details are (the pulling out, and the pointing) because they are not included, it is reasonable to assume that they did not occur, or that the poser of the question did not intend you to create such information.
