Why is there a hole in a donut? |

If there was no hole in the middle of a donut, then the bread in the middle portion will not get "baked/cooked" well. |

Acutally, there are donuts without holes. But they can't coat them unless they can put them on a stick or pole.
So usually, the donuts with holes in them are either covered in chocolate, caramel or coated with syrup. |
