It is blowing a gale and the water is blown away.
The pot is on a stove and the water boils off.
There is a frog in the pot drinking the water.
The running tap has a hose pipe on it which is watering the garden.
The lid is on the pot.
The pot is already full.
The pot is on the ground floor the tap is on the first floor.
It is a gas tap.
The pot is in a sheep field.
Someone is watching the pot.
There is a good kettle nearby.
The tap is on too much and the water just splashes everywhere.
It is the pot's job to stop the water so it just does it without asking why as long as it gets paid. |

A good gardening pot always has a hole at the bottom for drainage.

the rate of drinking of water from the pot is higher than filling by the running tap. |

The tap is running, e.g. moving quickly using its legs. Nothing is coming out of the tap that could fill the pot. |
