Solution:

A spider came out of the tap the next day, as it was flushed down the toilet but survived and made its way back through the plumbing system.

a scorpion. her neighbour is a scientist who had an accident in his lab, allowing his lab pets to escape into the water system thereby causing a menace to all residents.

nothing. the flush is broken because if not, the lady can flushed it by herself but if it is broken , she may asked her son to fix and flush it.

Possibly nothing, since that what's coming out of a tap most of the time and it was never mentioned that someone opened it. If it was opened, water may have come out, but it is also possible that coffee came out because the hot water was turned on and someone had put ground coffee beans in the boiler so he wouldn't have to make coffee in the morning, instead he could just open the tap or even take a hot shower and drink some coffe while showering (he would have to end his shower cold though if he wanted to be clean as well).

Womens bathroom or bath? Because if its a restroom, why did she bring her son, a boy, into the womens restroom?
