13. Killer - No Punishment

A person kills an old man in front of 10000 people. he is not arrested and no punishment. explain this !
(hint : it is not his intention)

Submitted by rajeshn07 · Added 9 July 2009

Solution:

The person is a doctor performing a public demonstration of a medical procedure on a volunteer old man who consented to participate. Unfortunately, the old man dies due to complications during the procedure, but since it was not the doctor's intention to kill him and he was acting within a professional context, he faces no punishment.

The man who killed the old man had probably been framed and convicted of his murder. Legally you can't be condemned for the same crime twice ... Did I get it right? :D

The old man was the president of the United States. He traditionally throws out the first ball at the start of baseball season each year. He meant to throw far outside, but missed. The ball went into the strike zone, so the batter felt obligated to hit it. He unfortunately hit a line drive to the president's head.

The thousand people were blind so they were unaware of the murder.
