10. American Ad.

What's wrong with this American ad?

"Day after Thanksgiving sale! Big discounts! 30 to 70 percent off! One day only - Friday, November 30th! Hurry and save!"

Submitted by dedo · Added 10 February 2008

Solution:

The ad is misleading because it states that the sale is on 'Friday, November 30th,' which is incorrect; Thanksgiving is always on the fourth Thursday of November, making the day after Thanksgiving fall on Friday, November 24th, not the 30th.

Thanksgiving might be on a different day, 30-70% off might not be so big, some Americans might not celebrate Thanksgiving,

Hahaha, I'll give you a hint: Thanksgiving is always on the FORTH THURSDAY of November.

If the 30th of November was Friday, then the previous day was Thursday the 29th. Which would make it the 5 Thursday in the month.

No fourth Thursday?
