Solution:
The punch was poisoned, but the man did not drink it because he was allergic to one of the ingredients and did not consume any.

The man was one of the first to drink the punch, and poisoned it after getting his drink.
The ice is poisoned, not the punch. The man left early dint mixup the ice much into punch.
Everyone at the party died from something non-punch related, ie the house exploded
