Added 4 March 2020

Solution:

Fill the 5-gallon container.

Pour it into the 3-gallon container, leaving 2 gallons in the 5-gallon container.

Empty the 3-gallon container.

Transfer the 2 gallons from the 5-gallon container into the 3-gallon container.

Refill the 5-gallon container.

Pour water from the 5-gallon container into the 3-gallon container until the latter is full (it needs 1 gallon).

The 5-gallon container now contains exactly 4 gallons of water.

i have an alternate answer for the 4 gallon problem...fill up the 3 gallon anp pour it into the 5 gallon and again fill up the 3 gallon and pour it into the five gallon.. now 1 gallon will be there in the 3 gallon... pour out all the water out of 5 gallon and fill it up with that one gallon ..now measure 3 gallon and pour into 5 gallon to bring out 4....

please provide the answers for the difficult and very difficult problems...
