79. Water Output Calculation A hose puts out half a litre of water every 45 seconds. How do I work out how many litres it puts out in 1 hour? Added 20 September 2011 Show Hint Show Solution Hint: Consider how many 45-second intervals fit into 1 hour. Solution: In 1 hour (3600 seconds), there are 80 intervals of 45 seconds (3600 / 45 = 80). Since the hose puts out half a litre every 45 seconds, in 1 hour it will put out 80 * 0.5 = 40 litres.
